Our Story
David and I met at
work a few years ago. We never had to work together but
occasionally spoke when we passed each other in the halls. At first, I
was scared of
him
because he looked so tough and didn't seem to smile often. As time
passed David and
I
started to talk and eventually became friends. We frequently spoke
about the difficulties
of
our relationships we were both having at the time. I will
never forget
the worse but best advice
he ever gave me. And it was "you'll get over
it". At the time, I thought the statement was harsh but,
also knew deep down
it was true.
The first
time I noticed David in
a different light was at his housewarming on Memorial Day
weekend BBQ. His mother, Maria answered the door and greeted me with a
warm smile and invited
me in. As David introduced me as his "wife" (office joke) as his mom is
putting the strawberry
cheesecake in the fridge, I became aware that David wasn't a bad
looking
guy. However, I didn't think I
was his type and just ignored my initial thought of how cute he looked.
I will not bore you with the details, but I can tell you that faith has
taken me on a beautiful ride into
the arms of a man that I fell in Love with. Nevertheless, you can not
deny what is meant to be!
He's taught me so many things and opened my eyes to a whole new world.
He is my best friend, mentor,
soul mate, and my world. I look forward to spending the rest of my life
with him.
